After years of hardship, fighting through personal adversity, and rebuilding my life from the ground up, my commitment to never quitting — especially for my kids — has finally paid off. With the support of the City of Claremont and the Claremont MakerSpace, I became the first Entrepreneur in Residence (EiR). My start was slow, with several major life changes happening at once, but once I settled into the studio and began working, I felt incredible! 

Playing and writing music again awakened a part of me that had fallen into the abyss and remained dormant for far too long. Building guitars by hand has deepened my understanding of the instrument while giving me a meaningful craft to pour myself into when I’m not playing.
